Accidents with injuries reported
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported two accidents with injuries involving Lincoln County residents.
The first accident occurred Dec. 30, 2012 at 5 a.m. on Deer Run Road east of Pebble Creek Road.
According to the report, a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Joseph Kukan, 21, of Winfield, failed to negotiate a curve to the right, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Kukan was not reportedly injured. Zachariah Hemmer, 23, of Winfield, was injured and was taken to Barnes Hospital in St. Peters by private conveyance. His injuries were reported as moderate. Both were using seat belts at the time of the accident.
Two boys sustained moderate injuries in a accident in St. Charles County on New Year’s Eve at I-70 at Lake Saint Louis Blvd. Time of the accident was 4:11 a.m.
According to the report, a 2005 Dodge Caravan driven by Erin Windau, 30, of Troy, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a concrete bridge abutment.
Windau was reportedly not injured. Her passengers, Logan Hanks, age 3, was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur and Mason Hanks, age 10, was taken to St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles. Windau was using a seat belt but it was unknown if the two Hanks boys were strapped in seat belts.
