Mrs. Evelyn J. Highfill, 84, of Hawk Point, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Troy Manor.
She was born on Dec. 28, 1928, in Wood River, Ill. to Martin G. and Irene (Smith) Thompson. Her family moved to Missouri and this is where she met her future husband, Jerry Highfill Sr. The couple continued to live in the St. Louis area. To this union was born a son, Jerry Highfill Jr.
Evelyn worked for the Records Center for the Dept. of the Army, retiring after many years of dedicated service. Shortly after Evelyn’s husband passed away, she moved to the Hawk Point area to be closer to her family. Evelyn enjoyed watching the game shows on T.V. Her family was everything to her, and she appreciated each one.
Surviving are her loving siblings: her sister, Linda and husband, Joseph Doll Sr., of Hawk Point; her brother, Carroll Thompson of Troy; her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 from 4 until 8 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral & Cremation Center, 1304 Boone St., Troy.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral & Cremation Center in Troy. Rev. Richard Rhea will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Hawk Point City Cemetery, Hawk Point.

Ruth Anne Primeau,68, of Troy, passed away on Tuesday Jan. 8, 2013, in Troy.
Ruth Anne was born on April 26, 1944, in St. Louis to Bernard and Ruth (Callahan) Kallenbach.
After attending the local schools, she met and later married Jerry Primeau on June 25, 1966, in St.Charles. To this beloved union were born two children: Monica and Brett.
Ruth Anne owned Variety Tack Shop in Troy for a number of years, and always loved talking with her customers. She was also an elementary teacher for Lincoln County R-III and taught at Hawk Point and Moscow Mills. Ruth Anne was an encouraging, enthusiastic and loving teacher who touched many students’ lives. Ruth and Jerry were active members of First Capitol Squares, Show Me Little Equine Club, Missouri Arabian Horses Association and Therapeutic Horsemanship. She was also a member of Red Hat Society, IAHA and was an instructor/dancer with the Lincoln County Kickers.
She is survived by her son: Brett and wife, Robin Primeau of Warrenton, Monica Primeau and fiancée, David Seckel, of Foley, her brother: Charles and wife, Cheryl Kallenbach of San Diego, Calif., her mother-in-law: Lucille Primeau; ther relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday Jan. 12, 2013 from 3-4 p.m. at McCoy –Blossom Funeral & Cremation Center 1304 Boone Street Troy.
A memorial service will also be held Saturday Jan. 12, 2013 at 4 p.m. at the funereal home.

Louella Reinwald,79, of O’Fallon, passed away on Tuesday Jan. 8, 2013 in Troy, surrounded by her loving family.
Louella was born on Feb. 19, 1933 in Paragould,Ark. to Burles and Bertha (Clayton) Bowden. Louella grew up in St Louis with her two sisters Jean and Jane. After attending the local schools, Louella met and later married Jack Reinwald on Jan. 19 in 1953. To this beloved union were born three children; Fred, John and Jack . Working as an Activity Director at Friendship Village in West County was the perfect job for Louella. She looked forward to going to work everyday and she had a special place in her heart for the residents there.
Louella is survived by her three children; Fred Reinwald of Laddonia, John (Janet) Reinwald of Lexington, Ken. ,Jackie (Tim) Muldoon Sr of Troy; one sister; Jean Pudiwitr of Bakersfield, Calif; ,her brother-in-law, Darwin, of Wofford Heights, Calif.; six beloved grandchildren ;Greg (Andrea) Reinwald of Pawnee, Ill., Michael Reinwald, of St. Louis,Tim (Glenda) Muldoon Jr., of Troy, Alicia Nelson (Ryan Drewel) of Moscow Mills, Brian (Jamie) Muldoon of Troy, Matthew Muldoon (Leanna Lutz) of Camp Le Jeune, N. C., 11 great-grandchildren ,many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2012, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral & Cremation Center in Troy.
A funeral service was held on Friday, Jan. 11, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1304 Boone Street, Troy.
Interment followed Eternal Peace in Wentzille. Rev. Darrell Alley officated.
