Two injured in separate accidents

Three people were seriously injured in a one-car crash Thursday, Jan. 31 in Montgomery County, said the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The accident, at 7:15 p.m., was at the intersection of Hwys J and N.

Joshua Woodson, 24, of Silex, was driving a 2012 Ford F250 when it traveled through a T-intersection, off the roadway and struck a bluff.

Two other passengers, Tinna Wisdom, 20, and Heaven Pollard, 17, were also injured. Pollard was flown by ARCH  to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia with Wisdom and Woodson transported by ambulance to the same facility. None were in seat belts at the time of the accident.

Two county residents were injured in separate accidents, according to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Thomas A. Adkins, 73, of Troy, suffered moderate injuries Jan. 25 when his 2004 Chevrolet Silverado ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned. This occurred on Hwy. H south of the Cuivre River bridge at 1:35 p.m. He was using his seat belt.

Adkins was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis.

James E. Hurt, 22, of Silex, was injured at 12:15 a.m. on Jan. 31 in an accident on Hwy., 61 at Rt. U. According to the report, Hurt was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Impala and passed a tractor trailer on the shoulder. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a guard rail. He was using his seat belt.

Hurt was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph West for treatment. His injuries were listed as minor.
