As of Dec. 9, 2011, the Salvation Army Lincoln County Unit, through the generosity of community giving, reached the $20,000 level for the 2011 campaign. The goal of the drive is to reach $50,000. Pictured above lighting the $20,000 light on the tote tree tracking the giving are (from left): Russell and Vera Weltmer, the county unit chairs; Tammy Deutsch, Troy Mayor Mark Cross and Phyllis Cross. Deutsch and Phyllis Cross are the chairs of the Bellringer campaign, the largest fundraiser held by the Salvation Army to meet emergency needs of many. For those who still would like to donate some hours to help ring the bell may call Deutsch at 636-295-2432 or Phyllis Cross at 636-462-2458.
