Marilyn Brown-Mabel Lake-Betty Morrison-Gary Puetz
Marilyn Brown, 64 of Troy, passed away at 5:35 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at the Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab Center, Troy.
The daughter of Carl Joseph “Joe” and Laura Louise (LaRue) Brown, she was born April 18, 1948, in Louisiana, Mo.
She is survived by: her mother, Laura Brown of Troy; two sisters, Marjorie Brown, of Troy, and Barbara Brown, of St. Peters; a niece, Mandy Natale’ and husband, Sean of Scottsbluff, Neb.; a nephew, TSgt. Caleb Crass of Alexandria, Va.; and three great nieces, Allysa, Emily and Lauren Natale’.
Miss Brown was a Licensed Practical Nurse all of her life, working in various nursing homes in the Lincoln County, Missouri area.
Cremation rites were accorded, as were her wishes.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at Kemper-Marsh-Millard Family Funeral Home/ Troy Chapel. Officiating the service will be Sister Mary Ann Fisher CSJ.

Mabel Hutt Lake, 96, of Troy, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab Center, Troy. She had been in failing health since her falling in her home in December, 2010.
Mabel was born in Troy on Oct. 2, 1916, to John and Lena (Jenkins) Hutt. She lived in Troy her entire life. She married Ray Lake on Oct. 23, 1963 becoming the “First Lady” of Troy while Ray served as mayor for many years.
She graduated from Buchanan High School in 1934 and was employed as the payroll clerk at the Gossard Garment factory before her marriage. She enjoyed league bowling; was a member of the Evangeline Club and the First Christian Church.
Mabel was of gentle spirit with a positive attitude always. She was an excellent partner to Ray, taking good care of him after he lost his eyesight.
Mabel is survived by: her nephew, Kell Emerson of Vining, Mont.; two great-nieces, Beth Perret, her husband, Steve and children, Alex and Elizabeth, all of Jefferson City, and Ann Tuckley, her husband, Paul and son William of Columbia. She is also survived by special care-giver, Richard Chumney and his wife, Linda of Troy and by Ray’s daughter, Joyce Lake of Boonville.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at Kemper-Marsh-Millard Family Funeral Home/ Troy Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at the chapel. Interment will be in the Troy City Cemetery, Troy.

Betty Ann Morrison, 74, of Hawk Point, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013.
She was born on April 22, 1938 in Wewoka, Okla., a daughter of the late George A. and Daisy (Brown) Pierce. Betty was married on Sept. 22, 1956 in Shawnee, Okla. to Emmitt Morrison. He preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 2008.
Betty graduated from Shawnee High School in 1956. She was a member of the Hawk Point Baptist Church. Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, working jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, reading and mowing grass for many businesses and friends in Hawk Point.
She is survived by her daughter, Treva Morrison, of Hawk Point; two grandchildren: Casey Stuck, of Hawk Point, Troy and Tabatha Ann Morrison, of Hawk Point; one great-grandchild, Blaine Galvin; two nieces, JoAnn Kaskaska and Naomi Gray; three nephews, Mike Tate, Ricky Pate and John Grass.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at Kemper-Marsh-Millard Family Funeral Home / Hawk Point Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 at the Kemper-Marsh-Millard Family Funeral Home/ Hawk Point Chapel. Interment will be held in Hawk Point City Cemetery.

Gary Puetz, 61, of Warrenton, passed away on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013. He was born March 13, 1951 in Warrenton, a son of Karl and Ralline (Rall) Puetz. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Amrein on Aug. 9, 1975 in Warrenton.
Gary graduated from Warrenton High School in 1969. He was a lifelong farmer and truck driver. He was a member of the Hawk Point VFW and enjoyed bird hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Puetz of Warrenton; two sons: Brent Puetz and wife, Jamie of Washington, Mo. and Corey Puetz of Warrenton; siblings: Karlyne, Kathleen, Karen, Dennis, Ronald, Theodore and Karl; three granddaughters: Kelsey, Madison and Haley.
