Sheltered Reality drummers to perform
This is Sheltered Reality and they are coming to Troy! Mark your calendar to share the sound and message of these energetic drummers as they create rhythms and movement to a positive end! Sheltered Reality will share in the April 21 Sunday morning (10:30 a.m.) worship with the congregation of Zion United Church of Christ in the Troy City Park and a free open to the public concert that evening at 6:30 p.m., also in the Troy City Fairgrounds Park.
Sheltered Reality is a not for profit group performing in the mid-west since 1996. Last summer at their third “Sizzlin’ Summer Drummer Bash” held in Frankfort, Indiana, 80 drummers from eight states gave their 3,000th show. Sheltered Reality doesn’t just use their performance to change the world, but also requires all active members of the group to participate in hands-on mission work. They define ‘mission work’ as any way of making a positive change in the community that will affect at least one person’s life for the better.
Zion United Church of Christ in Troy is sponsoring Sheltered Reality’s concert in Troy and gives an open invitation to all to join them in sharing their message. In addition, the group will have a practice session in the afternoon for any and all who would like to try their hand at drumming!
