Lady Warriors fight to see another win

On Tuesday, April 9, at 6 p.m., Winfield traveled to St. Charles West for a conference game, and ended up losing by a final score of 3-0. St. Charles West scored two of their goals in the first half, and added the third in the second half.

The only statistic of note for Winfield came from Abby Hirsch, a sophomore, who played the full 80 minutes as Winfield’s goalkeeper, making 10 saves in the effort.

They defeated Elsberry 9-0 with Kelsey Ziegemeier getting 5 goals with Sarah Entwistle, Rachael Burkemper, Katie Burkemper and Hailey Politte scoring one goal each.

On April 11, Winfield traveled to Orchard Farm, in conference play. Winfield ended up losing the game by a final score of 2-0.

The only statistic of note for Winfield came from Abby Hirsch, who played the full 80 minutes as Winfield’s goalkeeper, making nine saves in the effort.

The loss drops Winfield’s overall season record to 1-4.
