Carolyn K. Hammann, nee; Godin, 56, of Creve Coeur, formerly of Granite City, Ill., passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
Carolyn was born on March 31, 1957, in Granite City. She was a pharmacist for Elsberry Pharmacy and will be remembered by her family for the many special times shared together.
She is survived by and will be missed by her daughter; Rachael Hammann of Creve Coeur; sister, Maria & (Joe) Smith of Troy, Ill.; step-father, Horst Quante of Granite City; nephew, Nicholas Smith of Troy, Ill..
In lieu of flowers or donations. a fund has been set up at Providence Bank in Elsberry for her daughter, Rachael. Donations can be sent to the bank or dropped off at Elsberry Pharmacy in the name of Rachael Hammann.
Donald “Don” E. Walton, 76, of Troy, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at his residence.
He was born on April 24, 1936 in Quincy, Ill. to Oscar and Dolores (Hagerbaumer) Walton. Shortly after his formal schooling, he was called to serve in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960. He also served in the National Guard. During this time, he met Barbara Elmore. After a short courtship, the couple was married on July 8, 1961 in Troy. To this union was born a daughter, Kim.
Don began working on cars and doing auto body work and sometime later opened his own place called, “Don’s Auto Body” here in Troy, retiring after 25 years of dedicated service to his customers. He was meticulous about everything he did. During his spare time, he would take his family fishing. Don was a hard-working individual who had been a good provider for his family.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Barbara Walton of Troy; his daughter, Kim Perlow of Troy; his two grandchildren: Crystal and Kristina and his three adoring great-grandchildren: Caden, Colton and Calla. He is further survived by his two brothers: Jerry and wife Charlene Walton, Oscar and wife Janice Walton Jr; his two sisters: Marva and husband Gary Kimbrel and Virginia Hoelscher; other relatives and friends.
Services to be private as per his request.

George W. Washington, 52, of Wright City, passed away April 20, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis. He was in Troy on Feb. 22, 1961.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville. Funeral service will follow beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Wesley-Smith Cemetery at Wright City.
Washington worked as a carpet installer.
