Bass passed away April 23, 2013, at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles.
Born Jan. 20, 1948, in St. Charles, she was the daughter of Francis Bud and Bernice Nacke.
Survivors include her mother, Bernice Nacke, of O’Fallon; husband, George Bass, of Warrenton; sister, Pat Behle and husband, Charlie, of New Melle; sister, Annette Jackson and husband, Kurt, daughter, Beki Watson.
She worked as a clerk. She assisted with the AWA Animal Welfare Association of Warren County. She helped save and rescue many animals and her favorite was Scotty. She loved to paint and draw and in retirement, worked for the Warrenton Veterinary Clinic.

Mrs. Mary Frances Byington, 90, of Foley, passed away late Friday night, April 19, 2013, at the home of her daughter in Troy.
Born March 22, 1923 in Lynchburg, VA, she was the daughter of Aubrey and Alice Maddox Evans, Sr. She was a 1941 graduate of Moneta High School in Virginia. She was united in marriage on March 26, 1944 in Durham, N.C. to Noel Willard Joplin Sr. This union was blessed with four children: Noel Jr., Sandra, Jean and Peggy.
Following Noel’s death on Dec., 24, 1965, Mary received her Bachelors Degree in Education from Lindenwood College in 1969. She was united in marriage again on April 24, 1971 in Winfield, to Sidney E. Byington.
She worked as an elementary school teacher in the Winfield School District for 27 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Foley Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Noel Joplin, Jr. and his wife, Lois, of Olive Branch, Miss.; two daughters: Sandra Cremeens and her significant friend, Doug Polster, of Lake Saint Louis, and Peggy Joplin and her significant friend, Bennie Nelson, of Troy; one son-in-law, Robert Edinger of Smithville; twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and several great, great-grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers: Edward Evans and his wife, Carmen, of Forrest, VA and Marvin Evans and his wife, Marion, also of Forrest; three sisters: Betty Green of Dover, DE, Louise Wilson of Lynchburg, VA and Dorothy Spence of Danville, VA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.

Donald G. Collier, 78, of Wentzville, passed away April 23, 2013, at his residence.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 25, 2013, from 2:30 – 8 p.m. at the Pitman Funeral Home inWentzville. Funeral will be held Friday, April 26, 2013, 11 a.m., First Baptist Church in Lake Saint Louis.
Mr. Collier was a builder and developer.
