Dr. Mary Ingmire then introduced everyone to a very special and hard working student, Kristen Noyes. Kristen was an A+ Honors Graduate this year. After receiving her medal of recognition for being an A+ Honors graduate, Kristen spoke of the wonderful time she had at New Horizons. She then held back tears, while speaking of her mother who pushed her to do her best. Cheyenne Walton then spoke to the large crowd, talking about her incredible learning experience at New Horizons and the good friends she made while in attendance there.

After Cheyenne’s speech Blake Fackler, a graduate, announced the students would be handing out roses to those that helped them attain their degrees. It was a touching experience as tears filled the eyes of parents, grandparents, teachers and students alike.

The students then lined the side of the stage as the moment they had all been waiting for was finally upon them. Whoops and hollers could be heard as each one of the 27 students crossed the stage and received their diploma. Once they had all received their diplomas they moved their tassels in unison from the right side of their caps to the left side and they were introduced as the 2013 graduating class of New Horizons.
