Veterans’ DVDs to be presented to library

Approximately 25 veterans are expected to participate in a special presentation this Thursday.

The first DVDs of local veterans made through a special project will be presented to Powell Memorial Library June 6 at 11 a.m. The DVDs will be available for viewing at the library. Copies will also be made to state libraries as well as each veteran participating will have one to keep and share with their families. Many local residents have been participating in the project taking the videos and assisting with the submitted questions.

Roger Kiesey who has been coordinating the projects, said all veterans interested in being interviewed can still do so. This idea was first addressed during the weekly Veterans Coffee Talk held each Thursday morning at 9 a.m. at LCCOA (senior citizens center) on Boone Street in Troy. If any veteran would be interested, they may call Kiesey at 528-7935.
