Trent, a junior at Silex High School touched the lives of many through his active life of church, sports, school clubs and especially FFA activities. The Huber family recently held their first annual Glow Run, also a fundraiser for scholarships, in honor or Trent. Pike and Lincoln County showed their love with over 500 participants! When asked how they were managing to squeeze in another big event like this Jim and Cynde Huber, replied, “I just listen to Trenton telling me, I got this.” Jim and Cynde recently presented several Trenton Huber scholarships to local high school seniors from Silex and Bowling Green high schools with funds previously raised.
Jillian, a junior at Elsberry High School was not only beautiful, but athletic and smart. Jill was also involved in many school organizations including cheerleading and became good friends with Trent through FFA trap shooting. Kimberly Lovelace-Young and William S. Young vividly recall Jillian’s words “Time heals all wounds. Keep your chin up.” The Young family provided the first Jillian Young Scholarship in 2013.
The families would like to extend their gratitude to all the individuals and businesses that have sponsored the event or donated to the silent auction. Thank you for helping share Trent’s smile and Jillian’s sparkle.
