Lincoln County residents were injured in separate accidents in reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Roxanne Rader, 30 and Kevyn Zumwalt, 21, both of Troy, were injured in an accident June 15 on Hwy. 61, 1.5 miles south of Route C at 4:40 p.m. According to the report, a 2004 Dodge Stratus driven by Zumwalt was southbound on Hwy. 61 when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch. Neither were using their seat belts at the time of the accident.
Rader’s injuries were listed as moderate and Zumwalt as minor. Both were taken by private conveyance to St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles.
The second accident occurred at 7:55 a.m. June 16 on Hwy. 47, 1.6 miles south of Route CC in Warren County. According to the statement, a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire driven by Cody Drummond, 17, of Troy applied his brakes in a curve to the right, causing the Pontiac to slide into the path of a 2013 Peterbuilt driven by Ronald Bretz, 52, of St. Louis. The Pontiac struck the trailer unit of the Peterbuilt. Both were in seat belts.
Drummond was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Washington.
Another accident occurred June 16 at Route Y east of Route W at 12:45 p.m. in Lincoln County. Kimberly Nelson, 61, of Foley, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu when the vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a driveway. She was in her seat belt at the time of the accident. She was taken by county ambulance to Lincoln County Medical Center.
