Joe Franklin Davis, 80, of Warrenton, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Peters.
He was born on July 21, 1932 in Brunot, Mo., a son of the late James L. and Cora E. (Hovis) Davis.
Joe was educated through the Wayne County School district. He was employed as a truck driver for many years and hauled new cars across the country.
He is survived by his sisters, Maurine McAllister and husband, Fred of Piedmont and Maxine Montgomery of Farmington; one son, Kerry Davis and wife, Sheryl of Rapid City, S.D.; friend, Tony Cater and wife, Kellie of Warrenton; friend and neighbor, Gary Carter and wife, Marilyn of Warrenton; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, previous wife, Barbara Davis of St. Peters; step-children, Penny Brinker, John Meyers and Cindy Meyers.
Services will be held at a later date.

Ruth G. Logan, 96, of Troy, formerly of Silex, passed away June 25, 2013, at the Sugar Creek Assisted Living in Troy.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 27 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Silex with Pastor Steve Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Troy City Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 26 at the funeral home.
Ruth was born May 4, 1917, the daughter of Samuel and Emma Moseley Young, in Hawk Point. On Dec. 11, 1937 in Troy, she married William Ryan Logan. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1989.
She is survived by one son, Gary W. Logan, and wife Brenda, of Hopkinsville, Ky.; one daughter, Ruth Ann Grothaus, and husband Bill, of Silex; three grandchildren, Wayne Grothaus and wife Kelli, Sherri Zinselmeier and husband Ron, and Teresa Logan; five great grandchildren, Kaitlin and Brittney Zinselmeier, Shelbi, Bradley and Haley Grothaus; and one step-grandchild, Michael Wages and wife Leah, and daughter Lydia; daughter-in-law Mary Logan; nieces and nephews.
Ruth was born and raised in Hawk Point and graduated from Troy High School. She lived most of her life in and around Silex and moved to Troy in August of 2011.
She was Baptist in faith and had attended Silex Baptist Church. Mrs. Logan was a member of the Silex Eastern Star, 4-H Leader, Sunday School Teacher, belonged to the Uandi Club, the Silex Homemakers Club, and the Lincoln County Hospital Auxiliary. She was active in Silex activities and was a former Silex Citizen of the year.
Mr. Logan and Ruth ran the Logan Motor Company in Silex where she kept the books. After they retired they spent their winters in Florida. Ruth enjoyed spending time with friends at the Silex Senior Center as well as her friends at the Sugar Creek Assisted Living Home.
