Benton at Pickett's charge

Benton Guinness (with hat on stick) was honored to lead a division during the 150th Anniversary reenactment of Pickett’s Charge July 3 at the Gettysburg National Historic Park. Guinness is working as a living historian for the park service in Gettysburg for the summer.  He also had the opportunity to recite the Gettysburg Address for the crowds gathered at the Park on July 4. Benton is a student at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, NC. He is the son of Rob Guinness and Sarah Hunt, of Elsberry. Guinness said “this was the most meaningful and heartfelt 4th of July celebration I have ever been a part of.”
