Pat and Julie Flynn have been selected as the recipient of the Troy Garden Club’s Yard of the Month for August. Their beautiful brick home was built in 1965 by Pat’s parents and Pat and Julie moved into the home in 1994. Much of the landscaping, including the back patio of the home, was torn out to make repairs to the home’s foundation. After the work was completed a large new covered patio surrounded by flower beds and matching the original design of the home was built in place of the original patio, which provides wonderful views of the well-maintained landscape that surrounds the picturesque home. Pictured is Julie as she sits in the shade provided by a mature sugar maple surrounded by Hostas, Caladium, Impatiens, and Hibiscus, just some of the many plant varieties grown around their home.
