A trio of Lincoln County men were arrested and face burglary and property damage felony charges, says the Lincoln County Sheriff’s  Office.

On Aug. 21, 2013, deputies were dispatched to the 400 block of Stanek Road, in Silex, reference a burglary and stolen grain truck. According to the victim, his 1975 Ford LT9 grain truck and a red and white Honda 100R dirt bike were missing.

The suspects caused about $1,000 worth of damage after they partially drove the grain truck through the detached garage’s wall. The homeowner also noticed a side door to his residence was kicked in; however, no items were removed.

Deputies viewed surveillance footage from Silex Central Elevator and observed a 1975 Ford grain truck travelling east on Highway E followed by a Dodge Ram truck with a camper shell. An employee with the Silex Central Elevator told investigators a similar truck was owned by Mitchell Houston,  24, of Foley.

Investigators spoke with Houston at his residence along the 100 block of Snow Hills Lane, in Foley, and observed a red and white Honda 100R dirt bike sitting in the detached shed on the property. The Dodge Ram spotted in the surveillance video was also seen on the property. Deputies took Houston in custody and applied for a search warrant.
