Three people were injured in separate accidents in Lincoln County, according to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The Patrol reported a 1993 Chevrolet Lumina driven by Joshua Shelon, 23, of Silex, was northbound and a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Catherine Langan, 54, of Troy, was southbound. Shelton lost control of his vehicle and it began to skid, crossed the centerline and the vehicles collided. Both drivers were in seat belts when the accident occurred.

Langan was taken by private conveyance to Progress West Hospital.

In the second accident, two people suffered minor injuries. It occurred Aug. 18 at 4:40 p.m. on Shannon Lane at Mill Creek Church Road. The Patrol said a 2008 Ford F250 driven by William Menne, 22, of Silex was southbound on Mill Creek Church Road and a 2000 Ford Taurus driven by Kristina Huner, 26, of Silex, was westbound on Shannon Lane. Menne executed a left turn to travel eastbound on Shannon and his tire struck the bumper of the Taurus.

Hunter and a passenger, Cassidy Gersert, 15, of Silex, were taken by private conveyance to the Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy. Hunter was wearing a seat belt but not Gersert at the time of the accident.
