Parton injured

A Troy man was seriously injured Saturday (Aug. 24) in a one-car accident in Lincoln County, according to a statement from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The accident occurred on Harrell Road at Jacks Road at 11:27 p.m.

According to the statement, a 1996 Nissan 200SX driven by Kenneth Parton, 36, of Troy failed to stop at an intersection, traveled across the roadway and struck a tree.

Parton was flown by Air Evac Lifeteam to Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur. He was not using a seat belt at the time of the accident.
