Building Trades students help disabled hunters
Students involved in the building trades program through Troy Buchanan High School and Pike Lincoln Tech School recently built and donated a set of blinds to Missouri Disabled Sportsmen. Missouri Disabled Sportsmen is a non-for-profit group dedicated to providing hunting experiences to disabled hunters and youth who may not have the opportunity to enjoy hunting without their assistance.
The students who were led by their teacher, Joey Pietzman, built two wheelchair accessible blinds for the program using lumber that was donated by local lumberyards. The completed blinds will be placed on land that the Missouri Disabled Sportsmen operates and will be used to assist the group in hunting opportunities.
