Tickets for the Garden Club’s Holiday House Tour on sale

The Troy Garden Club, celebrating 75 years as a Federated Garden Club of Missouri, is pleased to announce that the Annual Holiday Home Tour plans are underway.

This year’s tour will be on Sunday Dec. 8, 2013 from 1 through 4 p.m. A holiday tea featuring punch, cookies and music will begin at noon at the Lincoln County Fire Protection District #1, 700 East Cherry Street, Troy.

This year’s participants are:

Peggy and Dennis Griffin – The stockings will be full and Christmas trees galore; greenery, holly and ribbons accent their décor. The children are their focus and they love to entertain. They look forward to the holiday season each and every year and love to share their lovely home with family and friends.

Jan and Paul Becherer – Jan and Paul’s home will enchant you. It is decorated with a festive and traditional Christmas theme. They love to celebrate and entertain throughout the holiday season and it is evident as they welcome you with their many holiday decorations.

Tom and Susan Werner – The Werners have relocated and renovated a 19th century log cabin that was part of Susan’s ancestral farm. In 2006, they took the cabin down log by log and repositioned it, setting the logs back into place to recreate the charm and warmth of the original log cabin. The updates include fireplaces, stone mantles and beautiful antiques.

Keith Meyer, Meyers Select Homes, LLC – This lovely three bedroom display home will be decorated with a western theme along with several vendors promoting their talents such as the Happy Potter – Lynn Newman and Taylor Woods Emporium – Prudence Taylor. Decorations throughout the home will set the mood for a joyful holiday season.

Tickets always sell out early for this annual, local traditional Christmas event. They are still only $10 and available this year at Peoples Bank main facility on Wood Street and at Community State Bank, 101 Community State Plaza in Troy. Please call Mary Vehige at (636) 745-8360 if you have any questions.
