Funeral service for Dora Edna Ash, 97, of Elsberry, will be held at 1: p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at the United Methodist Church in Elsberry. Rev. Paul Garven, pastor of the Elsberry United Methodist Church, will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery.
Mrs. Ash passed away Saturday evening, Nov. 30, 2013, at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy.
Born Feb. 14, 1916, in Elsberry, she was the daughter of Benjamin Nelson and Cara Blakey Teasley. She was united in marriage on Dec. 16, 1939, in Pike County to Raymond Ash. This union was blessed with one daughter, Carolyn.
She worked for several years as a seamstress at the garment factory. She was also employed for a number of years as a teacher’s aid in the Elsberry Elementary School. Dora Edna was a member of the Elsberry United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Shaw and her husband, Terry, of Elsberry; two grandchildren: Ryan Shaw and his wife, Lori, of Fulton, and Blake Shaw and his wife, Jenni, of Kansas City; and six great-grandchildren: McKenzie and Jordan Shaw of Fulton, and Jacob, Abby, Andrew and Zachary Shaw of Kansas City. She also leaves a special friends and caretakers, Laura Evans and Debbie Smith, both of Elsberry; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at the Elsberry United Methodist Church.

Richard “Rich” C. McCreary, 80, of Troy, passed away on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 at his residence.
Visitation scheduled from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral & Cremation Ctr, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service scheduled at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral & Cremation Center, Troy. Interment followed in the National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks.
He worked for Ralston Purina.
Cathy Ann Witt, 56, of Hawk Point, passed away on Tuesday, Nov, 26, 2013, surrounded by her family at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis.
She was born on Dec. 9, 1956, in Mexico, Mo., a daughter of the late Eva and Lenard Watson. She was united in marriage to Stephen Witt, on July 3, 1976, at the Lutheran Church in Warrenton and to this union one son and daughter were born.
Cathy graduated from Wright City High School in 1975. She was a stay at home wife, mother and grandmother. Cathy was on T.V. for the lottery game show, “Lucky Town/ Fun In Fortune.” She loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Stephen Witt, Sr. of Hawk Point; one son, Stephen Witt, Jr. of Hawk Point; one daughter, Shanna Witt and fiancé, Tony Hilton of Hawk Point; siblings, Rick, Tom, Lynn and Roxie; grandchildren, Lia and Logan Witt, Shayla and Shayne Witt; nieces, nephews, numerous relatives and many friends.
Friends were received from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at Kemper-Marsh-Millard Family Funeral Home / Hawk Point Chapel (41 Farm Lane, Hawk Point. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at the Hawk Point Chapel. Officiating the service was Rev. James Huffman.
