PALS Pet of the Week

Jay is a blue-eyed Siberian Husky, born about 8/23/10. His current weight, is a healthy 57.5 lbs. Jay was found locked into a tiny JAYcrate, right along a busy county highway…it was 90 degrees outside. A Good Samaritan brought him to our shelter. We could see he had two wounds on his flanks – his skin was burned & the hair was singed. It has taken intensive veterinary care (including laser treatment), & weeks of wearing an Elizabethan (E-Collar), to ensure those wounds would heal correctly. Jay is respectful of everyone at the shelter (kids, too), walks great on a leash, and appears to be house trained. He is quiet & gentle, yet playful, docile while inside, and very social . You will need to spend lots of time with a Husky, making certain that their basic breed needs are met. Exercise, fenced in yard with high fence or privacy fence) & lots of interaction from his guardian(s) – affection & love will round out this very beautiful & loving dog. Our $150adoption fee includes a comprehensive veterinary care package, and lots of love from our volunteers. You can view Jay and all our pets online at www.PALS-PETS.com . We have a large assortment of wonderful dogs and cats from which to choose. Please stop by the shelter and give a great companion a loving home. Check out our website for upcoming fundraisers and adoption events. We are a non-profit, no-kill shelter so your support is greatly needed and appreciated so that we may continue to help the animals. For more information on adopting Jay, or any PALS pet, donating, or volunteering, please call the shelter at 636-338-1818.
