The Junior Trojan fourth grade team were led in this undefeated season by Head Coach Chris Nichols and assistant coaches Mike McLean, Jim Wyble, Jason Frese, Jerry Raines. The team is ranked number one in the Gateway Football League Gold Division. This team produced an amazing 242 points on offense this season while surrendering only 41 points on defense.

This group of players last year only had one win. Their coach would remind them after every game “We can win or learn from each game.” From the first practice the boys and coaches were ready to build an unstoppable team. Dedication of three days a week, nothing stopped them. The boys enjoyed the drills and the determination of the amazing coaches that gave so much of their time.

The success of this team started in the offensive line. Lets not forget the amazing impressive defensive line. No team the entire season ever scored more than eight points against this line.

The Junior Trojans secured their spot in the playoffs with their undefeated season. Held at the Warrenton High School, they faced double elimination. The first playoff was a victory against Warrenton 28-8, and on to the second playoff game vs New Melle. The boys were “ready to rumble” with the only thing on their mind, to go to the Championship round. They defeated New Melle 40-12.

The team decided to dedicate the Super bowl game to Mix Movement. Just like their coaches that never gave up on them, Greg Mix never gave up on his students. The Trojans set out to bring home that Superbowl Trophy. Held Nov. 17 against Chesterfield, a fierce rain and wind storm blew in. The offensive line was ready to dominate, scoring 37 points and the defensive line stood strong like a brick wall, they were not allowing a runner to score. Their perseverance paid off with another win (37-0). The trophy was theirs to take home, they were announced the Super bowl champions.

The story does not end there. This team of football players was not ready to stop playing the game. They wanted t
