Suspects sought in chain of business burglaries
During the early morning hours between 3 and 4:30 a.m. on January 16, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office began investigating two business burglaries in Hawk Point.
Investigators stated based on video evidence, one suspect used forced entry into the VFW Hall and Cliff and Ellas Bar and then headed to a specific location where overnight money was kept. The suspect was able to grab approximately $2,100 in cash from both businesses before fleeing the scene.
Additional video evidence also showed the suspect used burglary tools including a crowbar, small sledgehammer and pry bar to gain entry into cash registers, ATM and vending machines at both businesses.

Investigators believe the suspect maybe involved in a St Charles business burglary on Jan. 6, of the Boschertown Bar and Grill, which has similarities. Evidence also links the suspect to the Tweeders Bar burglary in Old Monroe, Lincoln County, on Jan. 7. Both burglaries occurred during the early morning hours.
It appears the suspect may be familiar with locations based on his movement and efficiency during the burglaries.
Based on video evidence, investigators observed a light in color 2006 to 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 regular cab truck equipped with factory head and fog lights, factory exhaust, no running boards and no ladder racks used as a getaway vehicle.
Investigators know there are two suspects, one that enters the business and another that drives the truck. The suspect is identified as a white male, approximately 6 foot tall, wears tennis shoes have a reflective Y on the heel, hoodie and a mask.
