Three area accidents result in minor injuries
Three accidents in Lincoln County results in minor injuries, according to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Sonya Dameron, 30, of Bowling Green, was injured Jan. 16 on Hwy. H north of Spring Creek Road when her 2003 GMC Envoy struck a patch of ice, traveled off the side of the roadway and overturned. She was not using her seat belt at the time of the accident. Time of the accident was 7:25 a.m. She was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis.
Later that morning at 11:55 a.m., Abbie Fredeking, 19, of Winfield was injured in an accident on Hwy. Y west of Hwy. 79. She was driving a 2009 Ford Focus when it crossed the center line. When she overcorrected the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. She was not using her seat belt. She was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital West.
Rhonda Branham, 59, of Louisiana, was injured in an accident Jan. 18 at 1:15 p.m. on Route 79 south of Hwy. D.
She was a passenger in a 1978 Jeep CJ7 driven by Donnie Branham, 69. The Jeep crossed the centerline and when the driver overcorrected, the Jeep began to skid as it went off the other side of the roadway and struck a tree. Neither were using their seat belt.
Rhonda Branham was transported by ambulance to the Hannibal Regional Hospital.
An accident Tuesday morning (Jan. 21) in Pike County resulted in minor injuries to Taylor Hardinig, 20, of Foley. Harding was driving a 1980 Chevrolet Chevette when she lost control on the ice-covered roadway, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment. This occurred on Hwy. 61 just south of Rt. WW at 7:44 a.m. She was strapped in her seat belt at the time of the accident. She was transported by ambulance to Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana for treatment.
Four people were injured including one seriously in a one-car accident Jan. 22 on Hwy. 61 at Majestic Lane near Moscow Mills.
A 2012 Toyota Yaris driven by Rebecca Payne, 19, of St. Peters went out of control, traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned, said the report.
A passenger, Kenzie Marshall, 20, of St. Peters, was airlifted by Air Evac Lifeteam to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. Payne and two other passengers, Brooke McNeil, 20, and Alexis Scott, 20, both of St. Charles, sustained minor injuries. They all were taken by ambulance to St. Charles area hospitals. Payne and Scott were using seat belts at the time of the accident, Marshall and McNeil were not.
