Q and U were brought together in phonics matrimony Friday, February 7, 2014. Pastor Carla Cunningham, of Asbury Methodist Church, in Foley, officiated the ceremony.

Q and U’s attendants were the Pre-kindergarten classes of Asbury Preschool. A highlight of the ceremony was when all the students of the preschool sang Jesus Loves Me using sign language and quoting I Corinthians 13:7-10. Flowers were graciously provided by Charlotte’s Flowers of Troy.

A lovely reception followed as the bride, groom, bridal party and guests enjoyed lunch, cake and dancing to their favorite preschool songs.

The wedding was a fun opportunity to teach the students of Asbury the unique “kw” sound of the letter Q and the spelling principle the U always follows Q.
