Ensign Anthony Arrow was winged a Naval Aviator on March 28, 2014. This important event is the culmination of many months of intensive application, which is required for the successful completion of the demanding academic, military, and airborne curriculum. Arrow was also tested under extreme stress to measure his success.

J. M. Pavelko from the Department of the Navy said this about earning “wings of gold”, “Naval Aviators are the best-trained and most highly skilled military pilots in the world. Having completed that Naval Flight program, Ensign Arrow has qualified not only in conventional aircraft but has the distinction of special certification in rotary wing aircraft. The responsibilities vested in the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard helicopter pilots have never been greater. They are true and vital members of our country’s national defense.”

Arrow is assigned to fly the Mh-60 Seahawk Helicopter out of Norfolk, Virginia.

Arrow is a 2008 Troy Buchanan High School graduate and a graduate of the United States Naval Academy in 2012.
