Owls lose three games in recent weeks
The Silex Owls have played several baseball games in recent weeks.
On April 10, they lost 13-3 to Elsberry in five innings. Troy Strunk and Matthew Huber had two hits apiece to pace the Owls with Huber getting an extra base hit (double). Strunk had an RBI and Matt Mueller drove in two. The Owls’ runs all came in the first inning. The teams were tied 3-3 after one and the Indians plated runs in each of the next four innings for the win.
On April 8, Silex lost 10-3 to Wright City. A six-run fifth inning by the Wildcats was the key frame in their win. Huber had four hits to pace the Owls with one being a double. Troy, Strunk, Colton Groshong, and Jacob Stolle had RBIs for the Owls. Groshong hit a solo home run.
On April 11, Silex lost 11-1 to North Callaway in five innings. Groshong had two hits to pace Silex and Strunk drove in a run.
