Suit filed this month by Faria’s daughters to get money returned
In the latest twist in the Betsy Faria murder case, her daughters have filed suit against Pamela Hupp, claiming she has defrauded them out of $150,000 in life insurance. The suit was filed April 7 in St. Charles County where the daughters live.
The suit alleges that Betsy Faria, just days before her murder in 2011, changed beneficiaries on the policy from her husband, Russell, to Hupp. Russell Faria was found guilty of first degree murder of his wife in what is becoming a very controversial debate. He was sentenced to life without parole which he is currently serving. He is appealing this verdict.
Hupp established an irrevocable trust with a portion of the money but, to date of the suit, has not turned over any documentation or any money to the daughters.
Betsy Faria had terminal cancer.
