Mary Ione “Jerri” Creech, 88, of Troy, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab in Troy.

She was born on Jan. 22, 1926, in Marion Township, Davis County, Iowa, to Dale Oris and Ione Lena (Swaim) Whisler.

She grew up in the Ottumwa, Iowa area before moving to Missouri with her family.

On June 14, 1941, she married Hilary “Boots” Creech. Together they had three sons: John, Michael and Rickey.

Over the years she worked at the heel factory, Harke’s Drive-In and Harper & Row.

She is survived by her sons: John (Janet) Creech, of Troy, and Mike (Regina) Creech, of Troy; and three granddaughters: Vicki (Mike) Saitz, Dawn Creech and Kelly Creech.   She also leaves three half-sisters:  Betty (Whisler) Oman, Joan Whisler and Jan (Whisler) Moll, all of Iowa.

Friends will be received from 4 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Kemper-Marsh-Millard Family Funeral Home/Troy Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Troy Chapel.

Interment will be held at a later date at Old Alexandria Cemetery.

A Mass of Christian Burial for David Wayne Heitman, 53,  of Troy, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe.  Fr. Richard Rath, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery near Old Monroe.

Mr. Heitman passed away Saturday evening, May 31, 2014, at Troy Manor in Troy.

Born July 21, 1960, in Troy, he was the son of John Delbert and Rose Ann Anthony Heitman.  David attended St. Mary’s School in St. Louis.

He was employed for several years at Community Opportunities in Troy.  He enjoyed watching The Brady Bunch, baking, reading cookbooks and working puzzles.  He was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church near Old Monroe.

Survivors include his beloved mother, Rose Ann Heitman of Moscow Mills; two brothers: Danny Heitman and his wife, Rita, and Dennis Heitman, all of Moscow Mills; three sisters: Dotty Pollard and her husband, Terry, of Lake Saint Louis, Darlene Heitman, of Dardenne Praire, and Dede Hance of House Springs; and eleven nieces and nephews: Breanne, Brandon, Adam and Alex Pollard, Samantha, Trevor, Travis and Sabrina Hance, Luke Heitman and Joseph and Jordan Schwent. He also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many, many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield and again on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass.  A Prayer Service will be held at the funeral home during the visitation Tuesday evening.
