Winchester accused of stealing from Burger King
Troy Police Department released the following public information on a recent investigation.
On July 2, 2014, Richard T. Winchester was charged with Felony Theft/Stealing (Value of Property or Services of $25,000 or more). The Honorable Judge Flynn set bond at $38,000 (cash only).
On March 26, 2014, the owner of the Troy Burger King reported a large cash shortage for the store during fiscal year 2013. Through the daily cash records, daily ICR and daily bank deposits for the dates of May 1st, 2013 to March 31st, 2014 a cash shortage of approximately $37,789.91 was discovered. Winchester was identified as the manager responsible for those deposits.
All persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
