The City of Troy’s Historic Woods Fort Park (the log cabin downtown) at Boone and Main Streets has been chosen as a site for Cakeway to the West as 250thCakesma birthday cake sculpture host.  The cake was installed this afternoon at approximately 4:00 p.m.

“Stl250’s Cakeway to the West” is a signature project for the 250th anniversary of the founding of St. Louis.  Stl250 will place 250 four-foot-tall cake sculptures made of fiberglass that have been decorated by St. Louis artists at places of note throughout the 15-county bi-state St. Louis region.  The cakes will be on display until December 31, 2014.

Troy’s cake was designed by artist Paul La Flam.

Each cake sculpture is activated through a social media app that will guide app users to the location, share information about why the location is notable and award the user points making them eligible for prize drawings. To download the app, visit www.stl250.org.
