The Friends organization has been in existence since 1987, offering support to the Lincoln County Medical Center. Its purpose is to promote the image and further the mission of Lincoln County Medical Center by raising funds for the benefit of the hospital. Over the past 25 years the members of Friends have sponsored a myriad of fundraising activities to raise funds to purchase needed items and to enhance the environment of the medical center and its associated clinics.
In May, Friends hosted the 23rd Annual Friends of LCMC Invitational Golf Tournament at the Wood’s Fort County Club. As a result of the successful outing, Friends has donated $12,000 to Lincoln County Medical Center toward the purchase of LCD, 32 inch Samsung Digital Healthcare televisions for all inpatient rooms.
The latest in television technology, the new televisions, significantly more costly than alternative options, provide hospital patients with the ultimate experience and safety. The healthcare-grade televisions provide hospital-specific features including an interchangeable pillow speaker interface and compatibility with TIGR interactive patient education and entertainment solutions.
