Trojans win 41-20, to host Vikings Friday

Troy Buchanan High Trojans rallied in the second half to claim a win over Wentzville Timberland. Travis Arndt kicked a field goal early in the game, giving Timberland the lead. Ben Chaney scored a TD early in the second period and the extra point by Devon Fuller gave Troy a 7=3 lead. Arndt kicked another field goal and they added a TD with one minute left to give Timberland a 13-7 halftime lead. Chaney scored his second TD in the third period and Fuller’s PAT put Troy ahead 14-13. In the final period, Dalton Gilbert forced a fumble near the Wolves’ goal line and Justin Sutphin fell on it in endzone for a TD. Fuller kicked the PAT, Troy lead 20-13. Troy later converted another fumble into a TD when Fuller scored, increasing their lead to 28-13. After Timberland scored, Chaney scored on the first play from scrimmage. Fuller’s PAT, Troy led 35-20. Robert Noll returned an interception back 60 yards with one second left making the final score 41-20. ┬áThe win improves their record to 4-1 and will host Francis Howell Sept. 28.
