Hudson, Holt, pass away from injuries sustained in crash
Story Update: Larry Holt, 59, of Middletown, passed away from injuries sustained in the accident reported below. He died at approximately midnight on Oct. 6.
A Troy man was killed in a three-vehicle accident Oct. 5 on Hwy. 47 at the Clonts Field entrance.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the accident occurred at 9:51 a.m. It was raining at the time of the accident. According to their report, a 1998 Ford Escort station wagon driven by Chris Hudson, 52, of Troy crossed the centerline and struck a 2002 Chrysler PT
Cruiser driven by Larry Holt, 59, of Middletown head on. The front of a 2011 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Brian Scott, 35, of Troy, struck the rear of the PT Cruiser.
Hudson was pronounced at the Lincoln County Medical Center at 11:40 a.m. later that morning.
Holt and his passenger, Shirley Holt, 57, were both taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis. Mr. Holt’s injuries were listed as serious and Mrs. Holt’s injuries as moderate. Scott was not injured. All were using their seat belt except Hudson.
