Lincoln County Medical Center hosted their Third Annual Stroll through the Park for Breast Cancer Awareness on Oct. 6 in the Cuivre River State Park. Over 190 walkers participated in the two- mile walk raising over $5,000. All of the money raised through registrations, sponsors, and donations at the event, will be going to Gateway to Hope in an effort to support local cancer patients. Funds raised, combined with raffle funds raised from the Positively Pink Breast Cancer Dinner, will help provide treatment for uninsured and underinsured individuals diagnosed with breast cancer, as well as those genetically at high risk for the disease, who are not eligible for state or federally funded care.
The two- mile walk was kicked off by a warm up provided by Sheila with Full Contact Fitness.
