Steven Mount- Stanley Ackerman
Steven Lynn Mount, 55, of Wright City, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield from injuries he received in an automobile accident on Aug. 9, 2012.
The son of Mountie and Phyllis Darlene (Wells) Mount, he was born Aug. 8, 1957 in Louisville, Ky.
He is survived by: his father, Mountie Mount and his wife, Jeanette; his fiance’, Angela Duff of the home; two daughters, Amber Poole and her husband, Dennis, of Moscow Mills and Shelby Mount of Troy; one son, Josh Mount and wife, Jennifer, of Moscow Mills; six grandchildren, Chad Poole, Riley Mount, Joshua Michael Mount, Jezeca Poole, Jayla Poole and Starla Poole.
Mr. Mount was a 20 year employee of MEMC, St. Peters. He loved Harleys, hunting, fishing, boating and exploring creeks. He was a member of Sulphur Lick Baptist Church, Troy.
Cremation rites were accorded and a Celebration of Life was held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at Ingersoll Chapel for Funeral and Cremation Services, 211 Boone Street, Troy.

Funeral services for Stanley Joseph Ackerman,79, of Winfield, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Garry McCracken, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Troy, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield.
Mr. Ackerman passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy.
Born June 4, 1933 in Broken Bow, Neb., he was the son of Rudolph and Mary Klatka Ackerman. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged on Feb. 20, 1956. He was united in marriage on Dec. 31, 1955, in Poplar Bluff, to Shirley Ann Weaver. This union was blessed with four children: Rebecca Diane, Marla Janine, Andrew Phillip and Karin Michelle.
He was employed for 37 years as a detail inspector for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Manufacturing in St. Louis, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Troy. He was also a member of the Winfield/Old Monroe VFW, Post # 5517.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Shirley Ackerman, of Winfield; four children: Rebecca Meadors and her husband, Marshal, of Belleville, Ill., Marla Ackerman, of St. Ann, Andrew “Buddy” Ackerman and his wife, Elysia, of Plano, Texas and Karin Ackerman-West and her husband, John, of Overland; four grandchildren: Stefanie Ackerman McIntosh and her husband, Jack, Anthony Ackerman, Levi West and Mallory West; and one Great-grandchild, Adair McIntosh. He also leaves several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 until time of the service at 1 p.m. at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
