Carol  Renee  King, 43, of Morrison, Mo., passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Hermann, Missouri.

Mrs. King was born in Columbia, Mo. on May 16, 1969, the daughter of the Lloyd Smith and Clarice (Baumann) Chandler.

She was the wife of Tracy  King.  They were married in 2002.  He survives in Jefferson City, Mo.

Carol is also survived by her mother Clarice Chandler and husband, James, of Clarksville, Mo., a son Jordan Dyer, of Troy, a daughter Taylor Dyer, of Troy, a sister, Cayla Leake and husband, Tom, of Paynesville, Mo., a step sister Tammy Perez and husband, Laurentino, of Curryville, Mo., a niece Hayley Leake, of Richmond, Virginia and a nephew Rheed Leake, of Paynesville, Mo., and two special friends Debbie Gastreich and husband Louis, of Morrison and Brittney Chapman, of Morrison.  She is preceded in death by her father Lloyd Smith.

She was a house manager at the Agape Home in Hannibal. She was also a waitress at Joe’s Diner Hannibal.  She was a member of the Agape Church, Hannibal.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. from Journey Church, Troy, Mo.

 

Michael G. McMenamy, of Moscow Mills, Missouri, died on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the age of 60. Loving son of Rosemary and the late Kevin L. McMenamy, dear father of Michael A. (Dawn) McMenamy; loving grandfather of Cole and Camber; dear brother of Judy (David) Engle, Stephen (Helen) McMenamy, and Wanda (Robert) Bourdlais; uncle to many nieces and nephews, cousin and friend to many. He is preceded in death by his son Chad McMenamy and brother Kevin I. McMenamy.

He was employed as a Pump Truck Operator. He loved duck hunting, but more than anything he loved his yellow lab “Jake”.

Services: The family is being served by The Baue Funeral Home, 311 Wood Street, O’Fallon, Mo., where a visitation was held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 4 -8 p.m. A Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., Friday, December 7, 2012 at All Saints Catholic Church, 7 McMenamy Road, St. Peters, Mo. Michael Lynn Norton, 45, peacefully climbed his stairway to heaven at his home in Clearwater, Fla. on November 16, 2012.

Mike was born on September 15, 1967 to the late Orval and June Norton in Troy, Mo. Formerly of Elsberry, Mo., Mike was a graduate of Elsberry High School. He grew up fishing on the banks of the local rivers, and working in the family business. After a diving accident in 2000 which left him paralyzed, Mike relocated to Tavernier, Fla. While there, he participated in several cutting edge studies at the Miami Project to cure paralysis. Later he moved to Tampa to be part of a trial project sponsored by the Florida Brain and Spinal Rehabilitation Program. This program made it possible for the physically disabled to become independent and live outside of nursing home facilities.

In spite of his disability, Mike lived every day to the fullest. He would stay busy recording movies or listening to his vast collection of classic rock and roll. He was always smiling. He enjoyed his family, entertaining his friends, and telling stories.  He was an inspiration to everyone around him, and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his three children, Michael Moll, of Elsberry, Mo., Ashley Norton, of Tavernier, Fla. and Zach Norton, of Wentzville, Mo.; as well as brothers, Randy Norton (Mary), of St. Genevieve, Mo., Mark Norton (Julie), of Silex, Mo., and his sister Sandy Jerome (Bill), of Tavernier, Fla. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Chael Moll, of Elsberry, Mo., and Adelyne Bay Norton, of Tavernier, Fla. and several nieces and nephews, including his closest friend Skyler McGarry, Tavernier, Fla.

Services will be held at Burton Memorial United Methodist Church in Tavernier at 2 p.m. on Saturday December 15.

A local service and burial in Missouri will take place at a later date.

 

Charles P. Raue, 86, of Foristell, Mo. died on November 30, 2012. He was born on September 29, 1926 in Bonneterre, Mo.,

Charles was in the auto business.

David, 9, passed away Wednesday morning, November 21, 2012 at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO.  Born April 28, 2003 in St. Peters, Mo., he was the son of David Dewayne and Angela Diane Biener Simpson.  David was a 3rd Grade student at Winfield Elementary School in Winfield.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandfathers, Dick Simpson and Sigmund Biener.

Survivors include his parents: Dewayne and Angie Simpson, of Winfield; and his sister, Dana Michelle Simpson, of the home in Winfield.  He also leaves his paternal grandparents: John and Debbie Hubbard, of Winfield, his maternal grandmother, Sue Ecton and her husband, Jim, of Omaha, Neb.; his paternal great-grandmother, Mildred Simpson, of Winfield, his maternal great-grandmother, Suzy Biener, of Melbourne Beach, Fla.; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Memorials may be made to the Family of David W. Jeane M. Whittenburg, of St. Peters, Mo., died on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the age of 66. Loving wife of Gary Whittenburg, dear daughter of the late Robert C. and  Lorene Wallace; loving mother of Tracy (Robert) O’Donnell and Jeff (Melissa) Butler; Step-Mother of Karen Whittenburg and Rene (Richard) Knapp; dear grandmother of Ryan O’Donnell, Kaitlyn O’Donnell, Spencer Butler, Elaina Butler, Lilly Knapp, Audrey Knapp; Mother-in-Law Charlotte Whittenburg; Brother-in-Law John (Joyce) Whittenburg; Beloved aunt and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her sister Patti Lewellen and sister-in-law Jean Spicknall. She was employed as an Instructor at Therapeutic Horsemanship. She was a member of DAR-Weldon Springs, Women’s Connection, Wallace Clan Society, and Therapeutic Horsemanship. She loved Horseback Riding, Drawing, Painting, Crafts, and Genealogy.

Penny Lyn Henebry, 60, of Troy, passed away on  December 4, 2012 at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 17, 1952 in St. Louis, Mo., a daughter of the late Earl J. and Jean B. (Oppeau) Amann. She was united in marriage to Richard Henebry on June 25, 1971 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hawk Point, Mo. To this union three children were born.

Penny attended grade school in Hawk Point, Missouri and graduated from Buchanan High in 1970. She was employed for General Motors with 28 years, prior to her illness. She loved to watch Yadier Molina, play for the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Team, Kurt Warner, for the Arizona Cardinals Football Team and the St. Louis Rams Football Team. Penny enjoyed reading, cooking, working puzzles with a minimum of 1,000 pieces and taking care of her seven cows, which she personally named. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hawk Point, Missouri. Penny was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Richard Henebry, of Troy; children, Michael Henebry and wife, Terrilyn, of Moscow Mills, Robert Henebry and wife, Cassie, of Hawk Point, and Michelle Henebry, of Troy;  siblings: Craig Amann and wife, Alice, of Hawk Point, Kurt Amann and wife, Peggy, of Hawk Point, and Kris Watt and husband, Bob,  of Troy; six grandchildren: Kaleb Henebry, Ashleigh Henebry, Layne Henebry, Jaxon Henebry, Mason Henebry and Brenden Cockrell; one uncle, nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, one sister, Sue Molle and one brother, Mark Amann.
