Lippmann wins 100th wrestling match

the Warriors went 3-5 against the field. Winfield defeated Boonville 48-33, Centralia 46-18 and Affton 48-30 while losing to St. James 18-54, Owensville 27-48, Chillicothe 23-60, Fulton 24-60 and to host Moberly 6-66.

For the tournament the Warriors were led by Trevor Wilsey and Brendan Politte whom each went 7-1. Kyle Lippmann finished the tournament with a 6-2 tally, with Brian Thomas finished with a 5-3 record for the tournament.

The Warriors currently have an 8-8 record and will finish up the first part of the regular season Wednesday night at St. Clair against both St. Clair and St. James.

LIPPMANN WINS 100th

On Saturday, Dec. 15, Kyle Lippmann, of Winfield High School won his 100th career wrestling match.

Lippmann, a senior, at Winfield, defeated his opponent from Affton High School by pin in 0:36 seconds. Kyle currently is 14-2 on the season and 100-61 for his career. Kyle currently holds the school record for the fastest pin with a time of 0:07 seconds versus his opponent from Lutheran South on Dec. 10, 2011 and is a three time state qualifier for the Warriors.

Kyle is the son of Jason and Cara Lippmann, of Winfield.
