John Cottle (left) was sworn in as the Lincoln County Sheriff on Dec. 26 by Crystal Hall, County Clerk. Cottle was elected last November and will assume his duties on January 1, 2013. His deputies were scheduled to take their oaths on Dec. 28.

 

Chris Kunza Mennemeyer (right) was sworn in as the next Presiding Circuit Judge of Lincoln and Pike Counties by the Honorable Judge David H. Ash.  “I worked very hard to achieve this position, and I am so thankful that the people have given me this opportunity to further serve our circuit,” says Kunza Mennemeyer.  As Presiding Circuit Judge, she will administer the Court’s docket and operations, and will oversee the court budgets for both counties.  She will preside primarily over family law dockets, civil matters involving more than $25,000, and felony dockets.  Kunza Mennemeyer’s six-year term officially begins January 1, 2013.
