James “Jim” C. Creech, 83, of Moscow Mills, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Parklane Care Center in Wentzville. He was born on Nov. 30, 1930, in Old Alexandria to Alvie and Kate (Briscoe) Creech. James was blessed to have three brothers: Virgil, Hilary and Vincel.  James served in the U.S. Navy and was proud to be an American. He was a “fighter” to the very end. James

    Kenneth Edward Briner, Jr., 69, of Elsberry, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014, at his residence in Elsberry. He was born on Feb. 18, 1945, in St. Louis, a son of the late Kenneth E. and Renilda (Mosbacher) Briner.  Kenneth’s mother and father moved the family to Moscow Mills in 1960. He was united in marriage to Linda Holt in 1970 at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Millwood.

    Cecil Vincent Albregts, formerly of Bellflower, passed away on July 5, 2014, in Alamo, Texas. Cecil was born Oct. 11, 1924, in Fowler, Ind. to Joseph and Louise (Snaurt) Albregts, the third of 11 children. On Oct. 4, 1952, he married Maude Ellen Brower in St. Louis. She survives at their home. He served his country honorably in the Army during World War II. He saw action in the Philippines

    Robert W. Smith, of Eolia, passed away July 9 at DePaul Health Center in Bridgeton, Mo. He was born May 7 in 1953 to Ernest W. Smith and Delphine (Hinkel) McGinty. She was born on Oct. 28, 1931, in Troy, a daughter of the late Harvey Redmond and Elizabeth Webster. She was united into marriage to Julius Bradshaw.
