The 18-hole “Woods Fort” course at the Woods Fort Country Club facility in Troy, Missouri features 6,404 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71.8 and it has a slope rating of 129. Designed by Jerry Loomis, the Woods Fort golf course opened in 1994. Brian Crawford manages the course as the Golf Professional.
This course was built on gently rolling hills, so you can expect some uneven lies. The fairways are relatively wide and generous, and the greens are average to large sized and most have several undulations. Water hazards come into play on four holes. The signature hole is #17: a 298 yard, Par 4 . You can choose to attempt to drive the green, a carry of some 270 yards and over a lake with stacked boulders on the front side of the green. Or you can lay up in the generous fairway and then maneuver the water and boulders.
