Trojan girls win first track meet

Troy Buchanan High Track Trojans got their girls’ track season off in impressive fashion winning the Fort Zumwalt West Invitational. They earned 165.5 points. Top performers included: 200 Meters: Rachel Sullivan (2nd, 26.69; Anna Sullivan (3rd, 27.5). 400 Meters: Rachel Sullivan (2nd, 1:02.56). 3200 Meter: Jane Boessen (1st, 13:37.40). 4×100 Relay: Troy (1st, 54.84).     Missouri turkey hunters have reason to be optimistic about the 2014 spring turkey season, according to the state’s turkey expert.     On Friday, March, 28, at 5 p.m., Winfield hosted Canton in Winfield’s first game of the 2014 season. The debut game went well for Winfield, with the Warriors winning by a final score of 2-0.   • Five are inducted into Trojan Elite status at Troy Buchanan High School

    The first class of the Trojan Elite was announced at a recent game at Troy Buchanan High School. Three members of the first class (from left): Ben Chaney, Kyle Peasel and Casey Hopkins were present. Not present were Brian Alkire and Emily Crane.

    Ryan Cockrell (above) sent the district game into overtime, helping the Troy Buchanan High Trojans in an 84-83 win over Wentzville Timberland.

    Troy Buchanan High Trojans have experienced much adversity this season coping with injuries, the weather and not having won their share of close games. However, they put it together at the right time, rallying for an 84-83 overtime win against Wentzville Timberland.
