4-H Judging and Achievement Day for Lincoln County, Mo.

Fifty-nine 4-H members recently participated in judging and achievement day.   • Fall practices for Troy Buchanan High School start week of August 4

    The high school sports season will begin the week of August 4. Tryouts and practice at Troy Buchanan High, according to Jason Smith activities director, will start with the following dates and times. Remember all athletes must have a physical in order to try out or begin practice.   TBHS Tryouts/Practice Schedule August 4-9.   Softball August 4 Freshmen 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. Soph-Seniors, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

    A new face and a familiar face have been hired to fill coaching openings at Silex High School. Chad Twellman resigned in the spring as basketball, baseball coach and activities’ director to take boys  basketball and activities director at Elsberry.   • Daughter, father complete adventure visiting state parks

    A daughter and father completed a journey throughout Missouri, visiting over 42 Missouri state parks. During a stopover at the Cuivre River State Park, they shared what they have found about Missouri’s ‘hidden treasures’ on the over 1,400 mile adventure.
