  • Winfield Titans win playoff game

    The Lincoln County Little League Midget Division playoff game was played at the Hawk Point Sports Athletic Complex on July 22, 2014. Teams playing in the playoff were The Blizzard Lizards (sponsored by Dairy Queen in Troy) against the Winfield Titans (sponsored by True Value).     The Silex Pixies won the Lincoln County Championship on July 30, 2014. They defeated Old Monroe 24-12. They were undefeated for the season with a record of 13-0.   • Fall practices for Troy Buchanan High School start week of August 4

    The high school sports season will begin the week of August 4. Tryouts and practice at Troy Buchanan High, according to Jason Smith activities director, will start with the following dates and times. Chad Twellman resigned in the spring as basketball, baseball coach and activities’ director to take boys  basketball and activities director at Elsberry.
