Owls lose three games in recent weeks

The Silex Owls have played several baseball games in recent weeks. On April 10, they lost 13-3 to Elsberry in five innings. Troy Strunk and Matthew Huber had two hits apiece to pace the Owls with Huber getting an extra base hit (double). Strunk had an RBI and Matt Mueller drove in two.   • Winfield faces tough loss

    On Tuesday, April 15, Winfield hosted St. Charles West in (GAC North) conference play. Winfield gave up one goal in the first half, and another in the second, losing by a final score of 2-0. St. Charles West scored both of their goals on corner kicks. The only statistic of note for Winfield came from Olivia Jordan, who played the full 80 minutes as Winfield’s goalkeeper, and made 20 saves
