Elsberry’s new activities director and head girls softball coach Chad Twellman is gearing up for his first year with the Lady Indians. Twellman’s team will be new and inexperienced due to the loss of six seniors. “We have some weaknesses,” said Twellman. “Fundamentally we’ve got to get better.” One of those weaknesses is in the team’s pitching staff.     The Old Monroe Sophomores were undefeated this year with a record of 13 – 0. They defeated Silex for the county championship.     The Bombers are the county wide champions in the Atoms Division. They ended their season with an 16-0 record, defeating both Silex and Old Monroe in the playoffs.   • Meny named to two all-state teams

    Trevor Meny made all-state in the Missouri Sportswriters and Sportcasters Association Class 3 All-State basketball team. Meny averaged 19.6 points, 10.3 assists and 7.2 rebounds per game finishing the year with 567 points and 299 assists.     The Lincoln County Little League Midget Division playoff game was played at the Hawk Point Sports Athletic Complex on July 22, 2014.
