Help the Hawk Point Athletic Association win a $500 grant from GM

From now until the end of June, a test drive of any new General Motor’s product at Jim Trenary could help the Hawk Point Athletic Association win $500. According to Hawk Point Athletic Association member Ron Daniels, “General Motors has a grant that they give to the youth program in the county. They gave us ball equipment, bat hangers, throw-down bases, T-shirts, ball bags. That was part of the grant.

    Winfield made the long trip to Fatima (southeast of Jefferson City) for a game. Once again, Winfield was very evenly matched with their opponent, and the decision would not come until overtime. Despite generally controlling most aspects of the game, the score remained 0-0 throughout regulation.     Winfield and Troy baseball teams are wrapping up their regular season of baseball as they prepare for the upcoming district tournaments.
