R-III Foundation awards grants totaling $77,916

In their second year of providing grants, the Lincoln County R-III Education Foundation awarded nine grants in the amount of $77,916.88 The presentation occurred at the district wide staff meeting held Aug. 11 at Troy Buchanan High School gym. Lauren Fast and Robb Krieg presented the grants on behalf of the foundation. Teachers had to submit applications and go through a review process. The foundation had more applications to consider

  • Watch out for students, new school year has started

    The Missouri State Highway Patrol reminds drivers that schools are starting or have started their 2014-2015 school year. It is critical for drivers to be alert, especially near school zones, playgrounds, and bicycle paths. Traffic patterns will change as school buses and parents taking their children to school join other motorists on the road. Expect this additional traffic and prepare by allowing extra time.   • Welding Lab now enrolling students

    The Welding Lab is now open and accepting high school-aged students that are enrolled in Troy Holiness School, Tri-County Christian Home Schoolers and high school aged home-schooled students as well.   • Constitutional amendment relating to teacher evaluation certified for ballot

    Secretary of State Jason Kander announced that one initiative petition has been certified to appear on the November 2014 ballot. A Constitutional Amendment to Article IX, Relating to Teacher Performance Evaluation Systems, 2014-024, will appear on the November 4, 2014 general election ballot as Constitutional Amendment 3.
