  • Finalizing plans for Rise Above tourney

    With the third annual Rise Above Scholarship Foundation Golf Tournament fast approaching, board members recently met to finalize plans. The flighted tournament is set for Saturday, April 26 at Woods Fort Golf Club with a shotgun start at noon. It will feature a cash pay-out with closest to the pin and longest drive competitions, as well as a chance to win a new vehicle by hitting a Hole in One.

  • Summer Math Academy deadline, sports camp coordinated

    The deadline for the Lincoln County R-III School District’s summer enrichment math program is May 1, 2014. The Summer Math Academy is a three week, half-day program of interactive math from June 3 – June 26 and open to any child living in the R-III School District. The Summer Math Academy will run Monday through Thursday and be incentive-based for those students attending 90 percent or more during the program.

  • Technical Center students place at Skills USA Contest

    Pike-Lincoln Technical Center students attended the Missouri SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Conference at Linn State Technical College in Linn, Mo. on April 3- 5. Students left from PLTC early Thursday morning and spent the next three days competing and representing their school in different contests.
