Winfield drama club presents “How the Other Half Dies”

The Winfield High School Drama Club has been steadily working on a new production for the community to enjoy called “How the Other Half Dies” by Eddie McPherson. This play is described as a comedy murder-mystery that will keep you on your toes and laughing the whole time.   • Easter Egg Drop Saturday

    NorthRoad Church and Woods Fort Country Club have teamed up to provide an Easter egg hunt unlike any other. On Saturday April 19, Bill Hopper is going to fly a helicopter over the practice range at the Woods Fort golf course dropping around 3,500 eggs for children.     Choral Arts Singers and Youth will present public concerts on Friday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Troy, 1302 Boone St. and Sunday, April 27 at 3 p.m. at Assumption Chapel, 403 N.   • 4-H Fun Fair nearing

    The annual Lincoln County 4-H Fun Fair will be held on Saturday, April 26, at the Lincoln County Fair Grounds Hall. This is the main fundraiser for the year for the county 4-H program. Funds raised at the event will be used for 4-H trips, awards and materials. All 12 County 4-H Clubs will have a Carnival Booth filled with fun and excitement for the young and ‘young at heart’.

  • Black light volleyball tournament

    The Junior Class of Winfield High School is hosting a black light volleyball tournament on April 5 at the Middle School Gym beginning at 5 p.m. Teams will consist of eight members. The winning team will win their entry fee back and earn bragging rights. All proceeds will help fund the junior-senior prom.
